Apps Don't work after upgrading to IOS 12.1.2

If you are having an iphone , then you might have received an update 4 days back to update your IOS version to 12.1.2 with an information that it has some bug fixes for Iphone X and others. So, even if you are not having Iphone X, you might have updated the version (just like me) to avoid the inconvenience of seeing the popup every time you see the phone ! But the real issue starts after that you don't realize that it is because of the incompatibility between your IOS version and network carrier version ! Internet would be working i.e you would be able to see facebook, google , youtube etc. But most of the apps don't work. i.e paytm, phonepe, amazon, flipcart etc.
Amazon apps not working
A server with specified host name could not be found error in paytm

Amazingly Googlepay works and that was the only one working till i found a fix for this today after multiple attempts to reach out to customer care of network provider (For me it was Jio).
So, the inconvenience which started with one app not working in mobile data extended to multiple apps and finally got resolved as i write below

how to Fix:
1. Switch off the Mobile Data and connect to a wifi
> In case you don't have a wifi, you can ask your friend /colleague to switch on mobile hotspot for a minute and connect to that as the below fix consumes just few KB/or an MB
2. Go to Settings > General >

See the version of  carrier.

Compatible version of Network version is 35.1 for IOS version 12.1.2.
In case it is showing 35.0 or less, then that is the root cause of the issue.

3. Just click on Carrier version and you get a popup that carrier setting has been updated automatically !

After this, if you open your apps , they would work as they used to work before .

In case they are not working still, follow next steps

4. Reset Network Statistics of your phone by
Settings > General > Reset > (Scroll all the way down in General till you find the shutdown option . You would see Reset option above it) > Reset Network Settings.

It would reset all your network settings and restart the phone.

Resetting the network settings does not cause any harm or does not delete any of the personal data in the phone anyway. So, you can do this safely.

Ending Note:
Not sure on why the IOS or the Network provider(JIO) don't take care to update the network carrier version automatically when the IOS is updated and want us to manually click on that version to update it !

Anyhow, hopefully above fix might help you.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day :-)
